Sassy Sista's
(Cause We Care)

April 27-28, 2024 Terrell Jubilee Fundraiser
Sassy Sista's attended and set up a booth at Terrell Jubilee for 4/27 and 4/28. We had a great day on Saturday 4/27, nice weather, and we got all set up by the deadline. We had some beautiful handcrafted items for sale.
We had a "sign up for a free bear" contest where we drew names every hour and many people got to come back to the booth and pick out the bear they wanted.
Unfortunately, on Saturday night at 11:30 p.m., Angie Cooper (Terrell Chamber) tried to contact us to come and pack up our booth because of really bad weather, but couldn't get hold of anyone (I'm sure we were dead asleep by then).

So Angie and three of the Chamber members (Heather Duda, Bard Owl Games; Christi Dodey, Whisked Away Bake House; and Emily Belk, Original Visuals) took it upon themselves to pack our entire booth up, take down the tent, and carry it safe and sound to the Chamber's office. Needless to say, we couldn't thank them enough.
Sassy Sista's sent a big thank you letter to Carlton Tidwell (CEO and President, Terrell Chamber of Commerce) to let him know what those sweet ladies did and how much we appreciate them. If they hadn't done that, everything would have been ruined, no doubt. We packaged up some of the handcrafted pendants and keychains that we were selling and asked Mr. Tidwell to please pass them along to the ladies.
We met lots of people, gained a new member (Yeah),
and others took our information to check us out.

The event was a great success. It was fun getting ready to do this event, we loved the camaraderie with our fellow sistas, and we had fun at the event.
As always, all proceeds will go to support our charities, https://curechildhoodcancer.org, Arms of Hope Boles Home in Quinlan, Texas, and grandmothers raising grandchildren where we can.
